Coaches

Mike Falati, Head coach and owner of CCSC started the Crescent City Swim Club in the fall of 1990.  Since that time, he has worked to develop CCSC from a team of 24 swimmers in to one of the largest and most successful teams in the state.  Coach Mike is involved with swimming on the high school, collegiate, national, state, and local levels. Coach Mike has produced numerous state champions, top 16 qualifiers, junior national qualifiers, senior qualifiers, and olympic trial qualifiers. He is currently the coach of the National level group of CCSC.

Eric Beach,coach of our Level IV swimmers,  has been with CCSC for over 11 yrs.  Previous to his coaching career, Coach Eric was an accomplished high school and collegiate swimmer.  As a coach for CCSC, Eric has produced some of the most talented age group swimmers in the state of Louisiana. His swimmers have been ranked in the Top 16 status, broken state records, won state championships, and moved on to excel in collegiate swimming. Additionally, Coach Eric has experience on the regional level as repeat LA Southern Zones coach.  

Kier McGuire, coach of our Level III and Level II swimmers,  is a former member of CCSC starting her swimming career with the onset of the team in the Fall of 1990.  Since that time, Kier has further developed her love for the sport of swimming as a coach with experience at community clubs, special olympic's teams, and high school swimming.  Coach Kier has been coaching with CCSC for over four years and currently coaches the 10 and under swimmers at CCSC.  Along with Coach Kim, Coach Kier has trained the 8 and under regional state team towards ten championship titles. Coach Kier also contributes her scholastic  expertise to various areas of team development.

Erica Schmidt, an assistant with our Group III and Group II swimmers, has recently joined the coaching staff of CCSC.  Erica previously coached with Crawfish Aquatics of Baton Rouge while completing her undergraduate studies at the Louisiana State University.  While in high school, Erica has worked with CCSC’s youngest swimmers  during the summer.  Erica recently helped coach the CCSC 8 and under regional team towards its fifteenth championship title.

Jake Laborde, the newest addition to the CCSC staff. Jake is a former CCSC swimmer, graduate of Jesuit and LSU. He will be working as an assistant with Groups III, IV and National Group

Kaci McGuire, is the Progressive Gator coach for our youngest swimmers. She also coaches our Group I swimmers. Kaci is a current senior at Grace King high school. She has coached and taught swim lessons for the past three years at Green Acres Country Club. Kaci intends to attend college at Tulane University next fall and will continue coaching with us!

Kara Martin, an assistant to Group II and Group III swimmers, has coached previously for Jazz Aquatics. She also coaches for the Academy of Sacred Heart high school swim team in the fall. In addition to Kara’s coaching experience, she also has two swimmers who are members of CCSC, Owen and Thea Martin.

Carter Stamm, strength and conditioning trainer

Calynn Davis Bunol, is the CCSC dietician. She has been involved in the sport of swimming for over ten years as both a previous swimmer and coach for CCSC. Calynn has Bachelor of Science in dietetics from LSU and a Masters of Science in Excercise Physiology, also from LSU. She is registered, licensed and a part of our staff to consult our swimmers towards nutritional choices for greater health and optimal performance. 

Kim Rauch, former Coach Kim is still a part of the CCSC family. Coach Kim processes our meet fees and keeps your entry account up to date.
